2010 Xtrail T31 No gears after valve body replaced

We live in a country area and drove about 50km when our vehicle suddenly wouldn't change gears properly. Travelling in a hilly area at time but then it righted itself. On our way home it refused to go into any other gear apart from 1st we made it about 30km back before it would hardly move. Got it towed home. We still had reverse gear and would move forward just not change gears.
No mechanics in our area want to even look at cvt transmissons , they want to remove and get reconditioned which will cost from $8,500.
We posted on the nissan forum for help, VStar650CL has been helping us out. We got an OBDll scanner and pulled the cvt codes P0746 and P0725 with CVT A:3 and CVT B:2 and engine codes P1778 and P1715.

VStar650CL recommended trying a few flushes which we did but unfortunately didn’t fix issue.
After this we purchased a reconditioned valve body and replaced our valve body.
Our radiator also developed a crack in the top so we replaced it.
I have also changed engine oil filter, air filter, the transmission return cooler filter ( this was black and I doubt had been changed since new) and bottom transmission filter.
After replacing the valve body we had no gears but then the next day reverse was there but very sluggish.

One thing I didn’t do was change new rom for our old rom so thought this could be the issue so I swapped in our old rom.
I only put back in 8.5 l cvt fluid so thought there maybe air in the lines, I warmed up cvt fluid to 76c to make sure air purged and fluid level is still where it should be.
I am now getting no engine codes and cvt code P0868 when it starts and pressure readings are low it then goes away by itself when pressure comes up.
Currently have no gears at all and VStar650CL thinks it is probably the transmission pump. Before I go to the trouble of getting transmission out to replace pump I thought I’d ask here to see if anyone had any other suggestions to try.
