T31 ESP not working. ESP off switch not working.

Hi All

I have done a search and cannot find my problem yet on the forum.

The problem I have is that ESP no longer works. If I generate wheel spin in fwd the wheels continue to spin without any ESP input or any ESP or skid lights coming on. When offroad I usually turn off the ESP with the ESP off switch, the switch no longer shows a light on dash or switch, so I don't know if it is doing anything.

I have checked the dash lights by turning the key onto ignition without starting the car. All of the lights indicate as normal.

I have checked fuses and they appear to be in order. They only accessory that may affect it is the electric brake booster, Hayman Reese Guardian which I fitted using the Hayman Reese wiring harness. The brake feed for the harness comes from the left hand brake light wire. The other power is direct from the battery.

Any ideas?

Re: T31 ESP not working. ESP off switch not working.

Hi All

I have eventually found the root of my problem. It ended up being a wiring connector to the ESP off switch that was not correctly engaged.

I last had the drivers side of the dash disassembled in 2016. I must have not engaged the connector correctly back then and it has worked loose over the years. It was a pain to find because it was visually OK, so I only found the problem when I went to disconnect the switch to inspect it.

Good result.

I was expecting it to be something simple like that otherwise there should have been some of the dash lights warning of a fault in the system.
