Maybe ask them why it was like this for you, and also why the bolts were too short. Maybe they haver a problem with the parts they are supplying and need to know. Not ideal, but at least you solved it yourself and got closer to heaven now :-D Well done!nondisclosed_email@example.com (roid)Wed, 02 Jun 2021 21:45:57 +0000 Re: RisingTuning T30 Strut Spacer Installhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098506,from=rss#post2098506https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098506,from=rss#post2098506All you needed to do Peter is search this forum before getting the other spacers nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Sun, 09 May 2021 10:00:44 +0000 Re: RisingTuning T30 Strut Spacer Installhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098505,from=rss#post2098505https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098505,from=rss#post2098505Not really sure what I've done but I went at it with a metal chisel for a while and they eventually came apart. They'd been riveted or something? Anyway got them apart and finished the install. The plates don't sit perfectly flush anymore and there was a slight vibration coming from the left on the highway (80+). Went out for a nighttime busy bash and after some tricky ascents and definite bumps the vibrations are no more. I will look into camber bolts as the wheels look slightly out. Wish I had known about the superior spacers before, seems like they would've been worth the extra $100 or sonondisclosed_email@example.com (Petya)Sun, 09 May 2021 00:09:18 +0000 Re: T30 Strut Spacer Installhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098504,from=rss#post2098504https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098504,from=rss#post2098504I would expect the rears should come apart like the fronts as they are both mcpherson strut type but since I have the Superior Engineering strut spacers I did not have to replace the factory top bolts in either strut. Looking at your spacers, I have 2 comments... - The spacers being polyurethane will mean they have some give and I wonder of the bolts will stay tight as the spacer compresses and springs back. - The spacers are not "offset" and may alter the camber of your suspension, requiring camber bolts for proper allignment. The superior Engineering spacers are made in Australia from steel with camber offset built-in so that suspension geometry is perfect with no need for camber adjusting bolts to be added.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Sat, 08 May 2021 23:50:56 +0000 RisingTuning T30 Strut Spacer Installhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098503,from=rss#post2098503https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2098503,from=rss#post2098503Hi all, I recently purchased a 50mm kit from RisingTuning. I installed the front fine but when installing the rear I'm having an issue. The main issue is that the kit requires replacement of original top strut bolts with longer ones. I have removed and dismantled the struts, removing the plate the bolts sit in, the problem is that the 2 pieces won't come apart. Are they supposed to or is there another way of replacing the bolts? The front ones came apart with gentle mallet tapping. I have tried very hard and cannot separate the rears. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
