Greeting From the UK, at last!

Hi all, from the wet dump and dull UK....

I've got my grubby mitts on a T30 2.2 dci to replace my Mercedes ML, which has died... I can't understand why, I only used it for towing event trailers (bogs, around 3tons in weight) for 4 years and now that it's got to nearly 300K (miles not km's) on the clock it's up and died on me emoticon

Now before everyone says that the T30 wont tow 3.5 tons, I know, due to the corvid state of the UK, the events industry is a dead duck and I've been forced to get a job with the Royal Mail.... But having driven 4x4's for best part of 30 years, I just couldn't go back to sitting on the floor looking up at everything. So I spotted my T30 for around scrap money... and I'm now working my way through the faults as I go.

So far I have been very happy with my little 4x4, I still have to sort the steering out as I appear to have no power assistance and cure a bad oil leak from the back of the engine, I'm assuming that its oil cooler related, as I can't see anything else that has oil going though it on that side! And lastly it's got the dreaded tin worm on one of the rear suspension turrets. But that will get zapped when I change the saggy rear springs, first I must stop it marking its territory and get the oil to stay in the engine!
