It really is a fun, very capable offroader. We look forward to seeing many trip reports in that section as you explore Vic more with it (or the pimped Diesel T31 )nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Sun, 26 Jan 2020 17:15:41 +0000 Re: Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097216,from=rss#post2097216https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097216,from=rss#post2097216Got back from our Yarrawonga trip yesterday and the car went very well indeed. After travelling about 1200km we're very happy with our purchase. Only had a couple of minor issues. 1 was the FWD splashguard in the front LH wheel well came adrift and flapping at speed but a couple of zipties later and problem solved. Also the reversing camera came loose but once again zipties to the rescue. Apart from those issues the car was great. It did everything asked of it and more. I may have found a few dirt roads, and with the recent rain, a few puddles and mud holes Had a ball doing a bit of offroading and got to a few fishing spots that my Calais would never have got to. Even the Boss enjoyed getting the thing filthy. I've been told that apparently I need to get another set of wheels with some AT tyres so more fun can be had. Fine by me I spent a good hour at the car wash removing the tons of caked on mud but it'll need a good hand wash. I even suggested getting a diesel auto T31 so I can pimp that out instead of the Boss' daily Anyway here's a few pics of it filthy nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Sun, 26 Jan 2020 15:17:18 +0000 Re: Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097190,from=rss#post2097190https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097190,from=rss#post2097190Had the front and rear bash plates fitted by Michael at Boo's Bash Plates this arvo. Great workmanship, great price and great customer service as well. Front Rear Michael gave me a sticker so lets see how long the Boss takes to notice this one. It took her 2 days to notice the NISMO badge Also fitted the head light covers this arvo Apart from some new wiper blades, the car is all set for our trip away to Yarrawonga on Monday nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Fri, 17 Jan 2020 16:55:49 +0000 Re: Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097188,from=rss#post2097188https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097188,from=rss#post2097188Got the weather shields fitted yesterday with help from the little man. As they were aftermarket ones and didn't have the X Trail decals fitted I got some off of eBay and fitted them to the front weathershields. Not sure if I sould put them on the rear ones. What do you guys think? Also stuck the forum sticker (thanks Jalalski ) on the back window as well. There's also a sneaky NISMO badge I put on the back that the Boss doesn't know about yet. I'm waiting to see how long it takes for her to notice if she does at all I wanted to put it above the X Trail badge but there wasn't enough room I've still got the headlight covers to fit and the bash plates are getting fitted tomorrow arvo. Anyways here's some more pics Weathershields Stickers Sneaky NISMO badge nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Thu, 16 Jan 2020 15:01:35 +0000 Re: Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097178,from=rss#post2097178https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097178,from=rss#post2097178The Boss picked up the Xtrail yesterday from the workshop. The 60000km service was done with an oil change and coolant change as well. Next service I'll get the CVT oil changed just so I know that it's been done. During the service they found the front lower control arm bushes were buggered so I had them replace then along with a wheel alignment too. When I get home next week I'll fit the headlight covers and weather shields. Friday week I also plan to have front and rear bash plates fitted from Boo's Bash Plates near home. Then it's off on our trip to Yarrawonga for a week where I plan to find a bit of dirt for some fun. Cheers nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Thu, 09 Jan 2020 08:02:38 +0000 Re: Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097162,from=rss#post2097162https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097162,from=rss#post2097162Here's a few pics from the Carsales ad nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Mon, 30 Dec 2019 07:45:25 +0000 Paul and Di's T31 Ti 4WDhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097160,from=rss#post2097160https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2097160,from=rss#post2097160Well we've joined the X Trail bandwagon and I'm certainly glad we did. The Missus needed a newer car as her VT Berlina was a POS. Plus we wanted to go camping with the kids and my Calais was way too low for that caper. We found this gem on Carsales for a very good price. After a lot of research and many visits to this forum we bit the bullet and picked it up on 19/12/19. Merry Xmas darlin It's a MY11, complianced 2012 T31 4WD 2.5L CVT in Flint with 61000km on the clock. Both the exterior and interior are in very good condition given the cars age. Apart from a Kenwood headunit, window tinting, Nissan floor mats and a Nissan towbar it is stock. Now I'm a modified car guy from way back and a through and through Holden man who also loves his Dattos. Most of my cars have been modified and the Exy was gonna be no different. Within the first week of owning it I'd added the second drawer, bonnet protector and a genuine carpet for the back. I have waiting at home some genuine headlight covers to go on when I get home from work in 3 weeks. I have a full set of weather shields coming as well. It's last service was at 55000km but being an aircraft engineer, I'm rather anal about servicing etc. It's getting a 60000km service including an oil change, coolant change and wheel alignment next week. We're also going away to Yarrawonga just after I get home so I wanna make sure she's ready to go. As it's my better half's daily drive, we really don't need a bullbar though I'd like one. And considering it was gonna cost $3250, that made the decision even easier. So at a later date I'll fit a nudge bar with either a couple of spotties or a light bar. Other things on the wishlist include K&N air filter, roof racks, front and rear bash plates, upgraded speakers with sub in the back and maybe set of 4WDing wheels and tyres. I'll get some better pics when I get home but here are some for now. Anyways thanks for reading and I can't wait to get the beasty out and about. Cheers Before the drawer After adding the drawer Looks much better with the bonnet protector nondisclosed_email@example.com (hrtpaul)Sat, 28 Dec 2019 18:44:18 +0000
