cig lighter socket

How do I get it out to replace it? I can get the side panel off and almost see the plug but not clear enough to work out how to remove it.
All help is appreciated.

Would help a bitbifbyou saidvwhich one of the three factory installed ones you are asking about.
Centre dash under the heater controls, front drivers glove box, right side rear cargo area?

Re:

Ok. Its the one that is called a cigarette lighter not a power socket. The centre dash one. I see that this one has a 10 amp fuse the others seem to have a 15 amp fuse.

Cig Socket Removal

Sorry, it doesn't help as much as I thought it would, but looks pretty standard. Inner metal tube with outer metal tube "nut" that screws on to hold it.

Look here for photos of similar types. Outside screws onto inside. Plastic mounting panel would be behind green ring, outer screw clamps it all together.

Cig socket removal.

Havent had a difinitive look, but from the parts diagram looks like it might be all clips, not screws?
