Fit a 2003-2005 exhaust onto my 2007 exy

Been reading about the Hi-tech exhausts used to gain more KW out of the tuned down exys.
Doesn't seem like this is still available in 2017 and down in Perth. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

As the title suggests - is it possible to fit an older model exhaust onto the tuned down one?

Before buying my 2nd hand 2007 exy I had the chance to try out a 2005 model and loved it. (chose the 2007 as it was in prime condition)

Thinking about looking for a good condition low K's 2005 and give the missus the 2007 unless I can gain back those missing KWs.

Thanks in advance

Hi Ethan,

The Hi-Tech exhaust system is still available directly from Hi-Tech and they can ship it over to you in Perth, so please get in touch with them directly and mention that you're a member of our forum.

Fitting an exhaust from an older model won't achieve anything, as the restriction is in the ECU itself and the additional cat. converter in your model.

So I have to reconfigure the ECU when I fit one? I'll give them a call, hope it's cheaper nowadays..

Not with the Hi-Tech system, as they compensate by fitting a hi-flow cat converter to reclaim the reduction in power. Not sure about being cheaper but yes, give them a buzz.
