emoticon Re: Use of new Flickr

Thats good that it works please find follow instructions that I made up
that might be useful for anyone else who uses the new Flickr_

FLICKR use for Xtrail Runboard:

1/ Logon to the xtrail Runboard.
2/ Go to the Post of which you want to send pics thru to.
3/ Click on either “reply/edit tab “ in the post for sending pics.
4/ Click onto the “FLICKR “ icon on the post page.
5/ A new window starts up with “FLICKR”.
6/ Either click onto the “upload tab/photostream” for upload photos (from pics source) or select pics within the “photostream”.
7/ Once photos are shown in the “FLICKR” window click onto photo when fully loaded and select “share tab” in the bottom right corner.
8/ It thens loads an “URL title” so copy it.
9/ Paste the copy “URL” into the reply/edit post in step 3.
10/ Then click “preview tab” in step 3, to see outcome and if OK click onto “submit Reply tab”,then once executed will eventually come back showing inputted pics.

Thanks for that Ray.

For Item 7, if you click on BBCode, then copy the url etc, a pic will appear in the post. There is also a drop down menu to choose the size of the pic.

cheers, Julie

 emoticon Revhead kev 24/1/2018,

Do you mean when I copy the URL(bbcode) thru Flickr and then paste it on the -
Control Panel/change misc options and select my avatar tab, but remove the code
before and after the img.../img placeholders and change the https to http?
CORRECT

Ray

PS several hours later I tried the above and it seems to work when you look at my posts it is now showing a pic of my t31 2009 with attached new snorkel, as that is the bbcode that I have Loaded up to Flickr!

Thanks for your reply and help in this matter

Just thought id mention in case no one has tried yet.

Re: PhotoBucket became a paid Photos Hosting Service

If you read the Imgur terms of service you will find...

Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network.

This means using Imgur to host pics on this forum is not allowed by them.

With Flickr, all you have to do is keep their reference included.

Re: PhotoBucket became a paid Photos Hosting Service

I think Photobucket are finally getting the message from all its users.
They have just released a new pricing deal of US$1.99/mth or US$19.99/yr which includes 10GB of storage, 3rd-party hosting and no ads.

For those who have lots of pics and don't want the hassle of going through moving them all over to Flickr then this seems a decent cheap enough solution.

Thanks Kev. That's good to know. Pity I deleted my account. C'est la vie...

Probably won't put up any more pics now, poor old exy would probably win the rattiest xtrail after 13 years of never being garaged, and consequent seemingly sudden disappearance of top coats of paintwork, and various other heat & dust related wear. :-|
