t30 4wdrive xtrail manual . towing behind motorhome hi all, i am looking for some tech advice please. i have been told i can tow my xtrail behind my motorhome, reading some of the posts here i cannot find one on a t30. i recently put the xtrail on a gypsy trailer ( front wheels on trailer and the back follow on the road) and promptly blew the rear dif up within 30 klms. not happy !! any way after replacement diff and talking to some people the gypsy trailer is a no go, My question is that the aframe suppliers recommend flat towing ( all four wheels on the ground ) behind the motorhome is ok and will sell me the complete towing kit and fit it to the t30 manual 4wd. put in neutral 2wd and all good. i am a bit hesitant at this stage after replacing dif and want to tow long distance behind the motorhome. i do not want to tow on full trailer with all wheels off the ground due to weight problems of combination of trailer and xtrail. basically my missus does not want to part with the xtrail so is there any ideas if possible to tow the xtrail succesfully. i am willing to do modifications if necessary eg dog clutch in the tail shaft or some sort of mod if it will work .hoping for some smart tech advice form this forum. thankyou in advance!! rusty dog.
Re: 2002 t30 4wdrive xtrail manual . towing behind motorhome ? hope this is in the correct spot Hi Kev, Thankyou for that info, reading between the lines if manual you can flat tow it ?? only talks about auto no flat tow ? unless damaged transmision etc. need to digest it some more but looks promising at first glance. your opinion to flat tow on all four wheels. atleast it makes a little sense what happened on the gypsy trailer now !!! cheers.
