Front passenger glass replacement

Hi all,

So I arrived back at my car at the local train station today and the front passenger window has been smashed. Looks as though something has struck the window (possibly from a lawn mover), thankfully the tint held it all together.

My local dealership spare parts dept is closed for the day. Does anyone have an idea of how much I am for replacement glass for a 2010 T31?

Cheers

Hi Mike,

I'd grab one from the wreckers.

Re: Front passenger glass replacement

Thanks Jalalski, I didn't even thing of that. I used to always pilfer parts for my older cars, but never thought to do it on modern cars.

Are there any in Sydney (ideally north side, but willing to travel) that are known to stock a good quantity of T31 vehicles/T31 parts?

Re:

There are a couple of wreckers in Sydney (South and West) who always stock X-Trails

www.gmaspares.com.au
www.acmparts.com.au/our-sites/

Give them a try and am sure they'll be able to courier to you as well if you don't want to go there for a drive.

The good thing about these wreckers is that they have a national network, so even if they don't have the part in stock, they put in a request in their system to check with all other wreckers nationally.

Let us know how you go.

Re: Front passenger glass replacement

Went with GMC Parts, there were a few other wreckers that were marginally cheaper, but further away.

Wreckers charged between $80 - $120
Nissan were $400 (supply only)
O'Brien Glass were $700 installed ($600 with credit card)

BIt of a fiddley job, but got there in the end.

Thanks again for the tip.
