Deep Water

Hi guys. I,m living up in the Territory for the last 2 years and have taken my T30 all over Kakadu.
We managed Lost City in Litchfield on the weekend and had four crossings with water over the bonnet.
Scarey, and I am aware of air filter position etc.
One crossing I got water in the bottom of the air box just below the circular entrance leading to the donk.
FYI we did not plan these crossings and will not attempt again.
I did get a low oil pressure light come on after last crossing but have ascertained it is just the oil pressure switch.
Checked both diff oils and no clouds either.
Would I do it again, probably not, although we are doing a couple of mid depth crossings tomorrow in Kakadu.
Might just give fellow members a warm and fuzzy next time they are concerned about tackling water.
On a side note, I can,t believe how hard it is to find a decent capable softroader these days.
I would replace my T30 tomorrow with a new T30 after 180k of substantial offroad exploits.

Re:

Thanks for sharing bullsta. There shouldn't be that much water around at this time of year, should there?
The Territory is always good fun.
