Series 4 and 5 are ok. You also have a choice of 2WD if you're not going to use 4WD all that much.

Lets the search begin, and I like having the 4WD option as a plan B.



how do I or where can I find release dates for each series 2010 onwards, just found a nice 2012 once carsales

No issues with the diesel apart from the usual EGR blockage and oil stains on the air filter. Check the T31 Diesel section for details.

Diesels are the way to go, you just need to remember they like to work. So take it for a good run regularly. Both my cars are diesel and because they are so good on fuel it doesn't cost that much to take them on a good run.
