ahhhhh...yes, looking up is fab, especially on a crystal clear night with no light glare etc...but can you recognise/name all the stars/constellations you see??
I'm sure an appropriate app will display the names etc.....at least methinks it should.

Yep Dave, that's what Google Sky does for you.
It also let's you search for any one of them and gives you a direction finder arrow pointing to where it is and then a circle locator once you are "looking" at it.
