Front interior light discovery

Hi All,

I was sitting in my Xtrail, waiting for a friend last weekend and noticed the roof lining in the centre of the car bulks out towards the windscreen. I assume this is to make room for the interior lights and the stud for the aerial. I started mucking around with the light fitting and pulled out the centre plastic. It reveals a cavity with two hollow towers which look like they would take screws for something. Also there looks to be exposed conductors off of the light switch. Is there an extra something in that spot on the higher spec versions? I have an ST.

Re:

The higher spec Ti (and probably the ST-L) have sunglasses holder box in that spot just above the rear view mirror and the wires are for the rain sensor for the auto windscreen wipers which is found on the Ti as well.
