Re: Upgraded Batteries that fit

Hi John,
There are various models of D26 battery.
You should find a model number like 75D26L or 80D26R somewhere to let us know the size and the terminal configuration.

Re:

Reviving an old post here I know but has anyone installed an Optima Battery?

Red Top 34R L 254 x W 173 x H 199 mm CCA 800 AH 50
Yellow Top D34 L 254 x W 173 x H 199 mm CCA 750 AH 55

NS70LX is 259mm x 171mm x 225mm 720CCA 85AH

Lower AH ratings but higher CCA and the Optima's are meant to be pretty decent by my understanding?

Re: Upgraded Batteries that fit

Hi Darryl,
We prefer you resurrect an old thread for the topic rather than start a new one so that information is not splintered across the forum in many places.

Regarding the battery, just take your battery tray into the shop and test fit it with the Optima to make sure it sits in the tray flat.

Re:

Not quite in the market for a battery yet though my exxy is throwing a p0560 and p0606 code occasionally (which could be battery of alternator as I understand) and has been found to be flat on one morning recently.

Just wondering if anyone has got one.
The OPTIMA are more expensive than the NS70LX but lower RC so I'm keen to hear owner opinions

Re: Upgraded Batteries that fit

I reckon Optima batteries are overpriced for what you're gaining.

At work we have recently had good performance out of Amaron batteries.....will be fitting one soon to my T30

Re: Upgraded Batteries that fit

@bigjuan, I saw an exxy with an Amaron battery when I was in the market for mine, I liked the funky green. Any idea which battery would fit?
Their own website suggested the 95D26L but it's only 600cca and RC 115
L260 x W173 x H225
