The only issue I have with the x-trail during winter is it goes into limp mode after being on cruise control too long (leaving Belco, i've had 2 limps with 10kms of lake george; similar issue around berrima when heading from Sydney to CBR). Didn't happen last winter (but with this weather at the moment, wouldn't surprise me if I got it during summer LOL)nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Mon, 02 Feb 2015 19:59:53 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086722,from=rss#post2086722https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086722,from=rss#post2086722Cold Air is excellent for a turbo diesel engine. Not only our X-trails, but noticeably on the bigger 4.2 engines in the Patrols and Landcruisers. Our X-trail performs very well in cold temps, have had the warning light come on a few times to tell us its cold outside (3 degrees or lower) and the x-trail has performed faultlessly. Fuel economy is much better. Ideal conditions for a turbo diesel. nondisclosed_email@example.com (tj81)Mon, 02 Feb 2015 19:24:05 +0000 M9R cold weather performancehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086721,from=rss#post2086721https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086721,from=rss#post2086721I'd like to hear from other diesel owners about whether they notice any significant difference in the performance of the M9R engine in colder weather. I live in Canberra and in the winter we regularly get temperatures into the single digits, and occasionally a minus figure. I find on those particular mornings the M9R seems to perform exceptionally well. It's particularly noticeable at the fuel bowser where I reckon my fuel consumption improves by up to 0.6L/100km compared to my summer consumption figures. I also notice improved power output. Could it be simply the denser air is helping the turbo diesel engine breathe better? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Exywarrior)Mon, 02 Feb 2015 17:38:31 +0000
