Ningaloo Reef

Heading to Ningaloo Reef, camping at Cape Range with my kayak group in May.
Everyone is flying to Exmouth, but I was wondering of the feasibility of driving up. I live in Sydney, but could hire in Perth if time frame is tight. (Like to travel leisurely without 12/24 driving days.)
Interested in in anyone's experience- I see Nananut went up to Broome and did the coast last year, but no report.
I would be travelling by myself.

Thanks

Re: Ningaloo Reef

Hey Gail,

I done the trip last Easter, we pretty much done what your looking to do.

We took 10 days return from Perth driving up taking our time, its 1300km one way, you could do that in 2 days. We camped at Cape Range, beautiful place and we kayaked as well. Take the kayaks up Yardie Creek.

Make sure you take snorkeling gear as it really is one of the best places for it. Oyster Stacks is my favorite.

Heres a link to my facebook album from around Exmouth (we went twice last year, flying up the 2nd time)

Any questions just let me know.
