Re: Softroader Magazine

Hi Andy,

Maybe you might like to talk to your trainer about a special deal for all the NSW forum members and then PM Jalal with his details. There could be many more new members wishing to do a training course but not know where to look.

Re:

Ok I've spoken to Steve (the Trainer) he's definitely up for it, I've suggested it would probably be a mixed group, so he'd do the training to suit everyone's level etc.

Re: Softroader Magazine

For my birthday in October last year my daughter bought me a 1 year subscription to the rather new softroader magazine Adventure SUV.
I received the November - December 2016 edition and enjoyed reading it.
I have been patiently waiting for the January - February 2017 edition.
Today I rang a phone number that was listed on the Magazine to advise that I have not yet received the Jan-Feb 2017 issue. After being put on hold for a short time I was then advised that the magazine had been discontinued. That was disappointing.
I then stated that my daughter should now be refunded for 5 issues. I was advised that the there was no one currently available from the "subscription" department and was advised that there was a process for refunding subscriptions etc. They took my phone number and advised that I would receive a call from the description department when it was staffed.
I await that call.

I understand that it may be uneconomical for the magazine to be published if it is not supported and so be it.
However I also expect that my daughter will be reimbursed for most of the subscription fee.

I will advise all of the outcome

Re:

I am in the same boat, I renewed my subscription for 2 years. I was wondering why I hadn't received the Jan / Feb issue.

I will have to chase up a reimbursement for my subscription.

Cheers

John

Re: Softroader Magazine

I did receive a phone call today from the 'subscription' number listed in the post from AdVSUV below....i.e 02 8355 6841.
I was advised that I would receive a refund for the remainder of the subscription period.
They had my details including address etc so "the cheque will be in the mail' so to speak.

The caller was apologetic but I said that I realise that if any publication does not attract the required subscription level to remain financially sustainable then "that's life".
It is a shame because I enjoyed reading the only edition of the magazine I received.

I was asked if I rode a bike because there is apparently a magazine for Adventure Bike Riders but at my age I am not inclined to indulge in 2 wheel bike riding.

Anyway, I am happy that a refund is on the cards.

cheers
