That spray stuff makes too much mess and doesn't last. It's fine but you do need to do it more regularly- so a wipe over and re-coat just has to be done, I usually spray it onto a small brush or something.nondisclosed_email@example.com (roid)Fri, 16 Oct 2020 23:00:48 +0000 Re: What Dry Lubricant for Door Strikers, Locks and Hinges.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2094228,from=rss#post2094228https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2094228,from=rss#post2094228CRC "Dry Glide" nondisclosed_email@example.com (Wiz Au)Tue, 25 Jul 2017 12:37:49 +0000 Re: What Dry Lubricant for Door Strikers, Locks and Hinges.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083982,from=rss#post2083982https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083982,from=rss#post2083982Me too. I'm wondering if bike chain lube or silicon spray might be the ticket - providing they dry out to a non sticky film that also won't soil clothes that contact the striker etc. I used to use zinc oxide grease a long time ago as it doesn't stain, but its too messy.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Translucidus)Sat, 05 Jul 2014 20:34:11 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083973,from=rss#post2083973https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083973,from=rss#post2083973I didn't like the stuff that Nissan used, every spec of dust sticks to it and you end up with a dirty black patch around the hinges. Very hard to clean off. nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Sat, 05 Jul 2014 06:33:37 +0000 What Dry Lubricant for Door Strikers, Locks and Hinges.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083970,from=rss#post2083970https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083970,from=rss#post2083970Anybody have a favourite Dry Lubricant for Door Strikers, Locks, Stay open mecahanism and Hinges. I've just bought some spray on white lithium grease that dries to a thin film, but it doesn't look like what Nissan use (when they bother). I've heard of Chain Lube, Teflon etc etc but not sure what to settle with!!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Translucidus)Fri, 04 Jul 2014 23:15:36 +0000
