New white 2013 TL runout model

Howdy all,
Deposit down on the xtrail with a host of accessories. I am coming from a life long relationship with German automotive brilliance so I hope I won't be disappointed!
Why the change? Well apart from losing all faith in Australian dealers service of the highly technical euro stuff I want an SUV that actually has a decent boot and some offroad ability and I just can't afford $80k for a Toureg!
My partner is adamant that this car must be reliable so I am scared by the DPF stories but this car should be doing some highway miles and have been reassured by "people in the know who know people I trust" that it's a trustworthy car.
I'm likely to push it and take out the rear bumper and get in huge trouble with my partner so may have to sneak the bash plates on without her knowing emoticon
I have been reading through this forum and it seems a great place, thanks for having me.

Re: New white 2013 TL runout model

G'day Bartz,
Welcome to the forum. I also have just taken delivery of a runout T31 TL with manual GB. The dealer told me I got the last TL diesel with manual GB available in NSW if not Australia. He said that there were 4 other models still available when I enquired about availability of models. There can't be too many of these run-out T31s left now.
I'm sure you won't be disappointed with your T31, I'm not disappointed with mine. These diesel engines are quite quick for a 2l diesel.

They do have some tyre shedding ability.
Mine has 16,000 kms on it and the tyres are worn down to indicators. Going to get some Coopers next.

Re:

In the 18" rim size like your TL has I would consider the Pirelli Scorpions Verde which just released them in the factory 18" size.
