Re: plastic clip in boot for T31
Look I must be stupid.. Honest I usually can understand all this stuff.
So with this retainer isn't it when you push it down it locks in, how do you push it in more? Ours were pushed in so the pin is flush. Do you mean you push it in further some how or that when it is flush it doesn't lock the floor down, it just seats it correctly and stops it moving around.
One of our is broken, as I mentioned, no idea how as we don't lift it up to get to the spare. It was fine, I assume it must have been either driving around the floor moves or the dealer lifted it up to check the spare.
I guess we never lift the floor often so I will just get some, now to work out whether they are 6mm or 8mm - they look 6mm, will measure the hole tomorrow.
thanks folks.
My wife still loves the car, says its they best we have had (over our previous Mazda, Ford, Mitsubishi, Holden, Honda) . She is not keen on the new model though.

That's exactly what I mean. The only way to safely remove the floor without breaking these locking clips is to push down the centre clip further down from its flush position and then lift up the floor.
You can find them on eBay selling for $15 bucks for a pack of 10
This particular type of push down locking pins is very common on motorbike fairings, so if you do a search for motorbike fairing clips you'll find heaps of them. They come in both 6mm and 8mm size

Thanks for the tip.
