Re:

I too am interested. The camping idea is great, as the reason I got my Xy was to enjoy the outdoors, not to find the hardest way there.
It will depend on my roster- and am away beginning of May (WhooHoo Darling River Run).
The Basin area is much prettier, but wouldn't allow campertrailers to participate, if a family is bringing one, or even roof tops.
The boys took great care of me in my stock Xtrail previously on a Watagans outing, and I was told there is always a go-around option.
I haven't seen the Aboriginal art site there yet either.
Dog a possible? Very well behaved unless someone is holding a choc biscuit, when slobber alert is activated.

Re: Anyone Interested in a Camping Weekend @ Watagans?

Hi Dave,

Still working on convincing the wife to come along, but personally am up for it emoticon

What days of the long weekend you guys want to spend there?

Arrive Friday afternoon and leave by Sunday afternoon (2 nights camping)

Or

Arrive on Saturday morning and leave by Monday morning/midday? (2 nights camping)

Or

Arrive Friday afternoon and leave by Monday morning/midday? (3 nights camping)

Any suggestions on a meet-up point?

Re: Anyone Interested in a Camping Weekend @ Watagans?

I have a Monday commitment (made by my wife without telling me) so it would be Friday and Saturday nights camping for me, even if I was the only Friday nighter...........
Would just need to know what campsite.
I haven't camped the Watagans so I don't know how big the camping areas are or how many other campers take advantage of the long weekend.....

Anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

cheers

OK Jalal........will post further as dates get closer to determine camp site.
Others that can't make Friday night could join in for a Saturday night "chinwag" etc.

cheers
