You'll find it's probably stuck on far better than your toll tag will be. Shouldn't be any problem.nondisclosed_email@example.com (mfeodoroff)Tue, 18 Aug 2015 21:08:43 +0000 Re: Toll Pass Removalhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088490,from=rss#post2088490https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088490,from=rss#post2088490On another forum, Dental Floss was suggested as a good cutting agent. Then apply the usual oils to remove the residue.nondisclosed_email@example.com (DogTrail)Sun, 02 Aug 2015 21:47:27 +0000 Re: Toll Pass Removalhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088435,from=rss#post2088435https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088435,from=rss#post2088435Mine was on the black material, and when removed as above, did not cause damage. My daughter had hers on the black part also , and used adhesive remover (like you use on bandaids and dressings) and then levered it off with a small putty knife. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Strez)Wed, 29 Jul 2015 16:27:36 +0000 Re: Toll Pass Removalhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088434,from=rss#post2088434https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2088434,from=rss#post2088434Hi All, In regards to this should a toll tag (govia tag in my case) be stuck on the black windscreen shade material behind the rear-view mirror or will that mean the black material will tear off when/if the time comes to remove the tag?nondisclosed_email@example.com (asgardfleet)Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:24:51 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086067,from=rss#post2086067https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086067,from=rss#post2086067 Citrus based cleaners will dissolve the adhesive gum and make it go to a honey like consistency.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Charlie250)Mon, 01 Dec 2014 21:11:07 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086066,from=rss#post2086066https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2086066,from=rss#post2086066 Citrus based cleaners will dissolve the adhesive gum and make it go to a honey like consistency.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Charlie250)Mon, 01 Dec 2014 21:10:38 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082249,from=rss#post2082249https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082249,from=rss#post2082249Ahh good. Another one for other people without fishing line. Carefully~ use the blade from a box cutter knife to separate the item from the glass (or other surface). Then clean the leftover off.nondisclosed_email@example.com (scarey77)Sun, 06 Apr 2014 09:51:11 +0000 Re: Toll Pass Removalhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082244,from=rss#post2082244https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082244,from=rss#post2082244Thank you all. I used the hair dryer, then the fishing line then the eucalyptus oil- much better.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Strez)Sun, 06 Apr 2014 08:45:01 +0000 Re: Toll Pass Removalhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082238,from=rss#post2082238https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082238,from=rss#post2082238If you can't pull the mounting plate off by hand then use a length of fishing line as a saw to cut through the double-sided tape between the mounting plate and the glass. Then you can use any of the goo removers suggested by the others to clean the rest off.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Sat, 05 Apr 2014 22:35:56 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082193,from=rss#post2082193https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082193,from=rss#post2082193 Remove as much as you can by pulling it off, then try either of the 2 following options; 1. Eucalyptus oil will remove most (if not all)_ sticky residue. 2. Also there is a citrus based one that Repco sell if that is the prefered smellnondisclosed_email@example.com (scarey77)Fri, 04 Apr 2014 19:24:50 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082169,from=rss#post2082169https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082169,from=rss#post2082169I'd try a razor blade, cutting closest to the pass holder leaving most of the glue and mounting tape on the glass. The try metho to soak the rest of the sticky stuff off. I got my exy second hand, and there is slight residue where a toll pass has been, so it must be possible. It uses a different mount to windscreen, so would like to remove old one. It is stuck solidly on metal mesh area at top of windscreen. Don't want to damage mesh- advice please. Thought of hair dryer heating but ineffective. Think heat gun will damage glass nondisclosed_email@example.com (Strez)Thu, 03 Apr 2014 18:33:57 +0000
