Anyway Jim, the T30 microfilter used to be offered as part of our Online Shop and it was the active carbon type unlike the paper filter sold by Nissan, but the manufacturer stopped production of the active carbon T30 filter quite a while ago, so you now have 2 options:
You can buy the paper and active carbon filters from Ryco now.
The part number ending with "P" is the Paper Filter and "C" is the Active Carbon one.

when i had the glovebox out the other day it jogged my memory about the micro filter, quick question, which filter is better, carbon or paper type and why?

Carbon, it offers much much better filtration and blocks odours more efficiently.
