I'll try to be more active again, but regretfully there's been a few problems with the poor old exxy: gear box seal was replaced under warranty right front bearings replaced under warranty CV joint nearly went, but its fine now being repacked with grease Front springs have sagged pretty much to stock height. Had new pads installed (the EBC greenstuff was simply too hard for the DBA rotors) and rotors machined. A week later towed 1.2 tonnes to the coast (down Mt Clyde to Batemans) and cooked my brakes because my idiot mate forgot to switch the brakes on, on the trailer after i reversed it out of the car park. Had to crawl down Mt Clyde at 20km/h until the brakes cooled down. And a new clutch is now required - as the DMF is making a horrible droning noise constantly... going to try to push it another 7,000kms and get it changed at the 100,000km Back on H/T's now - went back to the OEM dunlop as Mrs wants them out of the garage. OMG they're bad - no grip, loud, and shocking in wet. Can't wait to get rid of them as soon as I can. Hoping to hold out until Dept of Infrastructure gets together with the states and updates VSB14 to allow 1 tyre size larger.nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Fri, 07 Nov 2014 07:57:23 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076478,from=rss#post2076478https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076478,from=rss#post2076478Michael, I would still use the Lamin-X Yellow Film on the fog lights, not only to make them true yellow, but to also protect the glass lens of the fog lights from catching a stone. You do plenty of off-roading, so protecting the fog lights is important. I have used this film on my T30 fog lights and the film lasted until I sold the car 8+ years later.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Tue, 30 Jul 2013 14:04:13 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076474,from=rss#post2076474https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076474,from=rss#post2076474Hey Tony, Pics are up - i haven't changed the parking lights, so that'll give you an idea how much more yellow the Nokya lights are. Definitely better in foggy conditions (and we get some SERIOUS fog in canberra - e.g. airport was closed till midday about a fortnight ago).nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Tue, 30 Jul 2013 11:47:32 +0000 Re: Konazz T31 Series IV TShttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076471,from=rss#post2076471https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2076471,from=rss#post2076471About time Michael Good stuff mate.
