Re:
Any updates from our x-trail riders? It's been a while?
Still have your bikes or have you added a new one to your collection? Any upcoming trips or ones you'd like to share?

Re: Bikes
I ride both the "light" and "dark" side...(on-road & off-road, you decide which is which! )
1990 BMW K1 for the road, but I have decided to sell it soon.
and for the off-road, BMW F650GS Dakar, pretty tricked out...KYB USD forks, Ohlins rear shock, TT Rallye dual headlight, Quad LED driving lights, RocStomper footpegs, TT gears + brake levers, DMV 2-Way bendy (unbreakable) & adjustable brake + clutch levers, Single seat option with toolbox now, and Heed crash bars. ProTaper Fatbars next...
My bike is on the left, that's Simon Pavey's actual Dakar Race bike on the right.
Play "spot the differences" :b.....
And now with the some of the new mods...

Re:
Hi Guys,
I have some sad news am afraid, last weekend I came off the bike at high speed after overshooting a corner on Bells Line of Road (for those that know it) and just 6kms away from reaching Lithgow for the scheduled lunch stop. I was faced with a split second decision to either take an oncoming car head-on or steer the bike towards the ditch and hope for the best. The ditch was my choice and I tried very hard to stabilize the bike but hit a huge rock that threw off the bike big time. Thanks to my riding gear and helmet I only walked (crawled) away with minor injuries to my legs and no broken bones. Ended up with a couple of stitches on my left leg but apart from that am lucky to survive this.
The Sprint ST 955i is pretty smashed up and am waiting for the insurance assessment to come through.

I did buy a replacement bike last week and it's the 2015 Sprint GT in exactly the same Caspian Blue colour like my old bike.

I'm taking it easy at the moment and overcoming my mental scars more than my physical ones and things have started to brighten up once again, which is a good sign.
