Members Motorbikes
Hi Guys,
Seeing that many of our members (myself included) are current or ex motorbike owners, I was given a suggestion that we start this thread so we can share our rides and views on our motorbikes and promote safe riding.
I will start this...
I have been riding since December 2012 (a late and mature rider I know) and I am currently riding a LAMS approved Suzuki GS500F 2010 model which has served me quite well.
Here is a pic of it:
This thread is NOT be used to share your Max Speeds and Wheelies!

Hi Chris,
What did you think of the ZX10 and the GSXR750?

Re:
Jalalski,
The ZX10 I had was the original model (an H2) which I bought new in 1991. It was a stupendous bike, but very different to the current models that bear the same name. It took me all over Europe, around the Nurburgring a few times, and was used through two UK winters - not for the faint-hearted! This was taken when I had a fair bit more hair...
The GSXR750W-N was a bike which I never got on with to be honest. It never let me down, and I did plenty of trips on it (Le Mans, Bol D'Or etc), but I was always a little underwhelmed by it. Nowhere near as good as the reviews of the day had led me to believe.
The 750K6 is a different thing altogether. Magic handling, loads (and loads) of power, and stupendous brakes. It is a marvellous bike for the first hour, but then absolute purgatory thereafter. Don't buy one if 1. you're not married to a chiropractor, or 2. want to travel more than an hour from your house. Great bike though.
If you want the best of all worlds though - the touring comfort of the ZX10, the handling of the 750K6, and the warm and fuzzy ownership pride of owning a classic - buy a 1200GS. It is faster on virtually any Australian road than any of the current sportsbikes, starts, goes, and polishes up like new after 30,000km.
