They cannot get the ships close to shore so they have to use what they call Lifers(I hope I spelt that right) to get all cargo to shore. Do a google search for picks and you will find plenty including unloading of trucks see pic. http://static.commercialmotor.com/big-lorry-blog/assets_c/2011/01/Unloading%20sea%20freight%20-%20Norfolk%20Is%20style-thumb-448x299-110658.jpg Regards Scot. nondisclosed_email@example.com (freewill11)Sat, 04 May 2013 14:44:15 +0000 Re: Twin engine boat, note the rock wheel chocks.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2073545,from=rss#post2073545https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2073545,from=rss#post2073545I zoomed in to the photo looking for photoshop. Notice how low the boat with the Cruiser is sitting in the water compared to the Cherry.nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Fri, 03 May 2013 06:15:42 +0000 Twin engine boat, note the rock wheel chocks.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2073512,from=rss#post2073512https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2073512,from=rss#post2073512I don't know where this is taken, to me it looks like it could be South America. The guy in the foreground also has "high visibility vest" I know they are not X-Trails, but what a shot. I don't know I would trust my X-trail AUD$40,000 plus to these guys. The vehicle in the background is a troop carrier I'm told. I would love to know how many of you guys would do this crossing with the missus. The boat engines look a bit like my whipper snipper (just replace the cord with a propellor) nondisclosed_email@example.com (IamSkippy)Thu, 02 May 2013 22:05:38 +0000
