Re:

Anymore photos guys as im maybe going to change my camping setup, the tent we have at the moment is quite lightweight and im finding it just doesn't like the WA winds at all, last weekend one of the black poles snapped and punctured the outer skin along with one of the zips breaking on the side door.

Would love a RTT but i font think it suits my needs as we mainly make a base and stay there a couple of days before moving on and it would be a pain to pack up every day as we usually leave all our cooking gear etc at the tent. Also now we have a double kayak.

Re: X-Trail and Camping

We have a Black Wolf Turbo Lite 300 Plus.
It has an extension at the rear for all your gear which is separated by an internal zip divider.
The main front area is high enough to stand in and is 3m x 3m floor area.
Tent initially pops up in about 30sec with the self-supporting frame then just peg out the ropes and put over the fly.

Re:

We've just bought the BlackWolf Turbo 240 Lite and can't wait to try it out. Our previous tent was tedious to set up and pull down and we wanted something we could throw up quickly even for a one-nighter.

Those little cheapie throw-down-pop-up tents are handy to keep on board in case you need to pull up late at night and have a kip. If fact when it gets cold, we sleep inside one of those, inside the bigger tent, for the warmth.

Re:

You could still leave your kitchen and campsite set up, obviously just without the rtt. As a couple, it only takes us a few mins to pack up each time, even less to set up. We leave all our bedding up there too, so if you're dead tired after a big day, just open the tent and hop into bed.

Hey Ian,

What happens if someone "accidentally" pushes or knocks that ladder from under you while you're sleeping up there? LOL emoticon
