posticon New project

Well after a few weeks nagging by Vicky I got myself a second car. It's been 2 years since I downgraded to one car and thought I had handled public transport quite well.

Recently I started taking the car to work one day a week and Vicky has been bussing it, hence why I think the pushing emoticon

Anyway, after much looking around and thought pondering I came to the conclusion I wanted a SWB Ford Maverick and found a few really good ones (lots of crap ones too) but all way over what I wanted to spend as essentially it was just to get to work and back. I started looking around for any vehicle but did not like the idea of getting a small car as I'm getting too old to fall down into a car and then have to crawl out again.

I suppose I was influenced a bit by my kids as my daughter has a Pajero and Cody recently sold the Exy and got a Patrol. So ended up looking for a 4wd of some sort and found lots out there way expensive for what they were and most of the cheap ones were crap but finally found one that would do.

Behold the new beast

Sorry he pics are not that good, they were taken the night I picked it up. When I got home I started felling sick and have been in bed for the last three days. Have not looked at it, started it or even transferred the rego over to my name yet. emoticon

A few cosmetic things to fix up but nothing to stop it driving and handles real good.

It's a 92 model Pajero, auto, power windows and sunroof. Motor is good, no leaks, clean (not like guerneyed clean). emoticon

Looking forward to getting better and getting out on the dirt to see what it can do.

Looking for a name for it so any suggestions throw them at me.

Congrats Jamie and hope you get well soon.

So you maybe interested in a Bribie run soon.

Re: New project

To match the supposed Spanish translation of Pajero you could call it Willy but Anna-Maree suggests as it is 21yr old you could call it Patty because everytime it starts you would give it a pat for being a good girl...and Patty Pajero rhymes too.

Re: New project

Well have decided on a name for the Pajero.

Henry

When he's not performing it'll be Henry the heap but when it's going well out in the dirt it'll be Henry the Red Rock eater.
