Spoiler and Surf Boards and Roof Racks - T30

Hi,

Regarding T30's.

Anyone surf here? I was looking at roof racks on the TIs with spoilers, and it appears that the roof racks are the same height/lower than the spoiler?

Does anyone have photos of a long board (or planks of wood etc) on a Spoiler model? Or at least tell me : I am wondering if the board will be bashing on the spoiler?

Re:

I think you will be right with the board on the spoiler.
It's not that heavy and if you tie it down well and a towel under it, it should move or damage the spoiler or the board.

Re:

Based on previous posts from owners with surf board, they indeed used a soft spongy type base on top of the spoiler to avoid the surboard rubbing against it.

There are other aftermarket roof racks which sit higher than the factory ones, so you could always explore that option.
