Look up muloorina station. Looks quite nice. North of maree. Might be a bit too much out of your way though.

Re: Has anyone been to Cameron's Corner, advice please.

Had a look at my maps. I was planning on passing through the station and camping closer to Lake Eyre. After seeing this I may have to reconsider and stay at the station. I didn't realise it was so nice there. Nice pick up.

Re:

Yeah its a really nice spot. Decent facilities.

On the way back also consider Coward Springs instead of William Creek. Its about 90 mins south of WC. The other option is to turn left after WC and go to Halligans Bay on Lake Eyre.

Yeah my understanding is that William Creek is a bit of a hole. Looking at a few different options on the south-west side of Lake Eyre.

Also, if its cool - we'll tag along with you through NSW to Lake Eyre, but split from there...

This is our current plan:

http://tinyurl.com/bkhtafn

Problem is, google doesn't recognise the track from Dalhousie Springs to Finke/Lambert's Centre of Australia/Maryvale Station which is a bit of a shame emoticon

Sounds good to me Michael. Looks like a good trip for you there for sure.
You will need to get some good maps to show the tracks from Dalhousie Springs to Finke. Otherwise a HEMA Navigator will do the job (cost you about $600-700 though). You will also need a permit to access the Aboriginal Land up there which I think you can buy from the General Store. You will also need a Desert Parks Pass.

Re:

I already have the hema 1:1.1m map of the area. No need for desert park pass. Only necessary for Dalhousie, which is about $12 for a 24 hour pass. Finke and maryvale station don't need one emoticon

I'm hoping to 'find' the maps online to use with androzic (although will probably pay the $20 and get oziexplorer)

You need a pass for Innamincka too.
I have the Hema desert maps fro androzic. Can burn onto a cd if you send me one. Or you could drop in if you plan on visiting your brother/fam in the area.
