Sections that I want to speed up, I right click for each section and go to speed/duration. Can speed up or slow down and also to how many secs or mins. I'm still new to Premiere and still learning bit by bit. Haven't found the most efficient way of doing things yet. I've got a 2yr old gaming laptop that serves me well. Only cost $2300 when I got it Just found a way to do it in Movie Maker after redownloading it. Click on Edit tab. You need to select a point and "split" the video, select another point and "split" the video again. Then select the "split" section and increase speed. Not sure how to get the duration "active" because you can bring a, say, 5 min video down to 1 min and speed automatically adjusts for it.nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Tue, 09 Oct 2012 13:00:19 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067317,from=rss#post2067317https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067317,from=rss#post2067317Haha! Yeah my laptop is worth $2,000 - but that's only because I'm in the IT industry and I got a fairly good discount for it too. Oh and I forgot XviD4PSP 5 - great for converting stuff audio/video. I like this one because you can tell it to do entire folders of videos and just let it run.nondisclosed_email@example.com (JoeyD)Tue, 09 Oct 2012 12:04:43 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067312,from=rss#post2067312https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067312,from=rss#post2067312I noticed that I had "4videosoft mkv converter" on my computer, so this thing worked a treat when converting to a full HD MPEG4 movie file and had it compressed in size as well. Didn't take long to upload to YouTube either. I doubt I will buy a $5 grand computer just to share off-road vids LOL nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Tue, 09 Oct 2012 09:13:36 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067308,from=rss#post2067308https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067308,from=rss#post2067308Similar to Premier is Final Cut Pro and After Effects. Generally it's how fast you're computer is, I remember at a previous workplace my mate who did TV Commercials had an insane computer that costed $5,000 just to produce videos quickly. I'll see what other video editing software I got at home and report back nondisclosed_email@example.com (JoeyD)Tue, 09 Oct 2012 07:43:42 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067304,from=rss#post2067304https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067304,from=rss#post2067304Yeah Reggie, it's the upload time that is killing me at the moment. Expensive and not for the faint hearted. I got the whole Adobe Master Collection, academic price It can take up to 2hrs to convert a 5min HD video depending on the format you want to convert to. HD video. This video is for a trip I've done on bitumen just last week using a Drift Pro. The converted file is in MPEG format and almost 800MB big. Took forever to upload to FB (over an hour).nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Mon, 08 Oct 2012 22:15:33 +0000 Re: How to make HD movie clips?https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067285,from=rss#post2067285https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067285,from=rss#post2067285VLC Media Player might be worth a try. It is a free download & apparently it recognises all codecs and is well regarded by the people who know about such things eg the Internet Archive The download and further information is available at wiki.videolan.org I use it as my default Video but don't know anything about uploading or modifying files although apparently VLC can do all of that sort of stuff. Good Luck.nondisclosed_email@example.com (DogTrail)Mon, 08 Oct 2012 19:58:11 +0000 How to make HD movie clips?https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067273,from=rss#post2067273https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2067273,from=rss#post2067273Hi Guys, I have heaps of HD 1080P video footage from the recent trip, but I am struggling to convert them to full HD movie clips which can be shared on YouTube, so I was wondering if anyone got any tips and hints on what to do and what type of program to use. I have tried Windows Live Movie Maker, but it takes forever to compile a 3 minute video, so am just about to give up all-together Any guidance will be appreciated.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Mon, 08 Oct 2012 17:52:56 +0000
