Anticipating the day - only 5 more sleeps!
Just wondering whether (or not) to remove the plastic "splash plate" from the T31 petrol version before the trip.
I hate grovelling in the dirt for the remnants of the plastic scrivetts after the most minor brush with reality, but on the other hand, the plastic might still give some sort of added protection/padding to the sump from the lumpy bits should we (car and I ) extend ourselves to attempt the barely possible...
I'm leaning towards preventative maintenance by removing the thing before the trip, then simply popping it back in with a full count of unbroken scrivetts after the trip.
Does that seem like a reasonable idea?

I've learned a little about the low tolerance of that particular piece of plastic.
Tolerance level is minimal.
I'll remove it as a preventative measure before the trip, then pop it back on afterwards.
The plastic will remain unscathed.
As will the rest of the Beast.
