The more the merrier, as long as they can handle all the car talk and checking out each other's cars.

Re: Re:

Anticipating the day - only 5 more sleeps!

Just wondering whether (or not) to remove the plastic "splash plate" from the T31 petrol version before the trip.

I hate grovelling in the dirt for the remnants of the plastic scrivetts after the most minor brush with reality, but on the other hand, the plastic might still give some sort of added protection/padding to the sump from the lumpy bits should we (car and I ) extend ourselves to attempt the barely possible...

I'm leaning towards preventative maintenance by removing the thing before the trip, then simply popping it back in with a full count of unbroken scrivetts after the trip.

Does that seem like a reasonable idea?

Yes looking forward to finding some interesting tracks like the rock shelf at Woolgoolga or maybe something along the lines of a mud pit.

Up to you whether you remove the plastic or wait for it to be removed for you if you do try something.

Come on week-end.

Regards Scot.

Re: Re:

Either mud or rocks... or sand ...or cane fields

I've learned a little about the low tolerance of that particular piece of plastic.

Tolerance level is minimal.

I'll remove it as a preventative measure before the trip, then pop it back on afterwards.

The plastic will remain unscathed.

As will the rest of the Beast.

Re:

Sorry Ty,

We have to pull out from this event as I have fallen behind on the rental property and need to keep going with the painting in order to get it ready for leasing.

Would love to be out with you all on this one but I need to put this first.

Regards Scot.

Scot,

Sorry you can't make it.

Weather forecast now is:
Cloudy, with a shower or two. Light to moderate S to SE winds, fresh at times. Min 17Max 22

Hopefully the rain wouldn't persist, otherwise we might be in for extra fun emoticon
