Re: Madonald Valley and Yengo National Park

Hi,

I'm just coming back to this forum (and just strapped on some Yokos) and I was sorry to miss last weeks trip but was inspired by the trip report so we did the Howes trail this afternoon to christen the tyres. You were not joking about the steep sections. I'm not sure the Exy would cope with the reverse direction, having no low range. Being one car I was being super careful and slow but I hit something just over the 'blind' other side of one of those drainage humps and took out the plastic underbody 'protection' plate. Only going a couple of kmhs. No harm done, and the missus didn't complain so I guess I was driving sensiblyemoticon. We also had a close call when a car coming in the opposite direction driving like a maniac slammed on the brakes and slid sideways along the road and missed us by a few feet.

I guess the next step is to get some proper underbody protection, given how easy it would be to do some serious damage. We had a good day and learnt some things as well.

Cheers

Do you want to set something up to gauge interest or should I?
