Scareyann's new Red exy.

My new and very Red xtrail has been approved by my lease company earlier this week. With all my requested extras.

I plan on keeping the alloys from my current one and putting the T31 series 1 alloys back on the old car.

Now it's countdown time until sometime in November when I will pick it up.

The list so far for extras.

ECB big tube bullbar with fog lights
Nissan side steps
Nissan driving lights
LH draw
Tint for the driver and passenger windows
LED mirror covers
Sunroof deflector
peddlers springs, 40mm lift
Bash plates (all 3)
Weather shields
Strut bar
Rear parking sensors
Roof bars
Towball
Rubber Floor Mats front and rear
Plastic tray for the boot
Headlight Protectors
Rear Cargo Net
Smoked Bonnet Protector
Kickplates x4
Rear Scuff Plate
80+50ch uniden

Added 26/01/13
LED mirror covers with parker lights and indicators

Added 06/04/14
2.5mx2.1m Awning and tent

Replacing the plastic fuel tank stone deflectors with checker plate or similar.

This car will red, black and chrome/silver once I finish adding everything. And very recognisable.
It needs a name too. (Now called red, emoticon )

Good stuff Maryann,

Start counting the days, as the wait for the Red Exy is gonna be a long one based on my experience emoticon

Nice list of options too emoticon

What model did you end-up choosing? TL Diesel?

Are you going to fit the genuine Nissan reverse sensors or aftermarket ones? The TL does come with a reversing camera as you know, but am not sure about the Nissan reversing sensors, as they keep playing-up based on feedback of existing owners.

My wife is asking me to add sensors to our Ti, so am thinking of an aftermarket option.

Re:

The genuine reversing sensors and it's a TL.

I've had partial success with the sensors in my old driveway due the steep angle, but the new one is a lot flatter and they don't seem to be as bad. Great use for parking in shopping centers at least. They only act weird for me due to the tow ball being in.

Good stuff, I think the reverse sensors will compliment the 4 cameras you gonna have perfectly.

Re:

Driving my ranger ute ATM for work and I feel lost without the sensors, and the c'dore wagon I used to have or my exy.
It's going to be information overload when I get this new one.

Just need to work to keep me busy and not doing the count down.
Although in 10 days I'll have my current one at the motel while a workmate drives the work car to Gladstone for the weeks work.

Mine is coming from Westpoint in Indooroopilly, not Rocky.
I will never buy a car at DC (Don't Care) Motors, let alone get anything serviced there.

But feel free to have a good look at it when I do get it back to town.

Oh ok. I have never bought a car from them. You dealt with them before by the sounds of it. Well if it isn't yours I wont feel so bad poking about it.

Re:

hahahahah, yup.
Although I hate poking about in cars that have been sold. A very uncomfortable feeling when they park them so close to other car in the lot and not so easy to get inside to have a look and sit down for a real feel of the car. Had that in Brisbane when I went looking at the new one to make sure it did have everything where I thought it was in the cabin.

A difficult waiting time for now. Getting the minor skippy damage fixed on my current one on the 22nd-26th of October, then its details to be sold. No idea who will get it now as my previous buyer had to have a car this month due to rego being due on their old 6cy one.

Around 9-10 weeks until it gets here for about 1-2 weeks worth of extras to be added.
