An App to try on your iPhone..

I have been testing an App out on my daily commute between home and work on the train.

It is called Mud Map, and so far seems to be a good cheap alternative to the more expensive apps you pay up front for.

You download the app to start off and then you can download any type of map required for your journey from Smart Topo maps through to satellite maps.

What I particularly like is unlike the standard map app on the iphone, you can pay and download the maps straight onto the phone (via Computer of wifi connection) so if you're out of cellular coverage, the iPhone will still trake where you're at.

I would, however suggest that this app is better suited to the iPhone 4s with its faster duo core processor although it will run on a iPhone 3Gs.

Anyway thought you'd might like to check it out.... on the App Store! emoticon

Re:

Trapster is a good App for finding out where your local mobile radar traps are. All traps & hazards are posted by users and you can set the range from a couple of meters to Km's away.
Another good one is also "Wase" the maps are done via people who use the app and you will also get up to date traffic info while driving around.
Both of these apps are free to get, but watch your d/l usage.
