Re: Just Moved to Perth

emoticon to WA. Plenty of tracks north, south and east of Perth.

Link below is a start for the Perth area.
WA 4WD blog

Perth 4x4 Forum has the latest on fishing and tracks. Not sure if I can put the link here but Google it and you'll find it easy

The Western 4WDriver Magazine (available in news agencies) can be very useful although it some of the info is outdated. But as per usual, check with the local councils and Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) for the latest track conditions.

DEC is another great source of info for nature reserves and places to visit.

4WD and TOPO maps would be handy. I've got hard copies of a HEMA map and one other WA 4wd tracks map book (don't remember the name) and use them quite regularly in addition to my Garmin GPS to plan my trips.

I personally haven't been to any 4wding spots around the Perth region since I live in the country and only come to Perth on weekends which can be very busy.

I know a few spots around the Goldfields region and a couple between Albany and Denmark in the Great Southern if you come that way.

Good luck and remember to post the trip reports emoticon

Re: Just Moved to Perth

Hi Reggie

Thanks for all valuable information.

The DEC website gave me a good overview of the Parks.

I reckon I need to get me one of these bush maps too.

I will be hoping to get to Wilbinga / Lancelin over the next few weeks,
hopefully the Exy can have some fun there.

Cheers
Neel
