Worn out bushings

2002 mod Disel: The rear main suspension " bridge" (the one that runs from right to left!) the rubber bearings/Bushings which the chassis rests on are worn out. In Norway Nissan claims that they do not supply spear rubber bushings -therefore the entire rear suspension needs to be replaced? this can not be the case, does any of you know how to fix this. I have heard of manufacturers who might be able to deliver this: such as energy suspension etc.

Regards trond

Trond,

Which one of the shown components has the worn bushings? Number 9 or 17?

Re: Worn out bushings

Hi

According to drawing it is number "9"- in Norwegian called "travers" It is all 4 bushings who are completly worn out, even though I never pulled anything with my x-trail. It looks like the bushings are marked as # 10 & 11 ? I have made numerous calls in Norway, and nobody can supply these parts-eccept the entire "travers". So I am hoping someone can help me to order the correct part, since the language barrier is considerable regarding technical terms.

Best Regards
Trond

Re:

Hi Trond,

That's called "Rear Suspension Member" in the electronic service manual.

I have come across an Australian cowhichnwhich may have them as well. See THIS advertisement. You can also email them from your side of jump on their Facebook page to ask a question about the rear bushings.

I just got the following reply from Nissan Australia:

The bushes for the cradle (item 9) are not sold separately.
if required you must buy the whole assembly.
retail $1065 incl GST

Re: Worn out bushings

Hi

I have found replacement bushings on e-bay UK, at a cost at 199 pounds!! It was confirmed today that Nissan never antisipated that these bushings would wear out. Therefore Nissan do not supply replacements.

Hopefully these will fit

Re:

There you go, the seller even knows that Nissan don't supply them, so it must be the correct item emoticon
