Re:

Just a quick update, we have had the car for exactly a week now and are loving it. We did have an issue with the reverse lights not working, I would assume that they forgot to plug them back in when working on the bumper for the tow bar.

I absolutely love the AVM, very handy indeed! We are planning on installing a GME TX4500 under the navigator unit in the near future.

Here is a link to a couple of pics we took when we picked it up emoticon

Re:

I've pretty much settled on the new car choice now. It was between a Pajero (with the bells and whistles), a Prado ( with most of the bells and whistles) and a TL Xtrail (with every bell and whistle I can squeeze into it).

Its the TL Xtrail - my current one will most likely go to a work mate, if not then its my brother. They seem to be lining up, so hopefully either will like my price and buy it.

Now to determine a few required item to source. A full bullbar, which one is best really will be a difficult decision. Underbody plates, and a few other xtrail shop bits.

My only problem is that it will have a sun roof emoticon

Also it will be a salary sacrifice car, since they made it very appealing at the 10,000-15,000kms group.
And it will be red, always wanted a red car.
Now to hope this can be achieved by the start of November.

Well done Ann and it's about time we had another Red Bull in our ranks, as mine started to feel lonely emoticon

Did the dealer what will be the wait time for a red one?

Re:

Its not yet ordered.
I will be doing the start of all the novated lease paperwork and finding out how to go about ordering it on Monday at some time between all my appointments.
Hopefully I'll be able to start ordering parts very soon as well. Want most of the extras to be in the inital order, so as to reduce the overall out of pocket expenses after the lease company delivers it.

I really hope I can have it by the end of Oct/early Nov, as thats when I would like to hand my car over to my work mate. And preferably before I get a chance to hit any more Kangaroos between the repairs due in mid Oct. Not sure I should even go camping with it in Sept.
I may need to find something between the red one arriving and the old one going if it takes too long.

Oh I plan on getting similar alloys to what I have atm for the main set and using the 18's as my spares.
So it will be red, black and chrome.

Re:

Good stuff and I can't wait to see the transformation. I was also very worried about trading-in my Chrome T30 exy and Nissan allowing me to drive it for the 3 months wait period. I was just hoping nothing would happen to it in that time while the Red Bull was being manufactured. I reckon if you order yours now, November time-frame is achievable for them or you might get lucky and they would have a red somewhere in the country already waiting for you emoticon

Re:

I've already started making a list of the extras.

The parts from the shop are easily selected. (T31 Bash Plates Set (3 bash plates), T31 Active Carbon Cabin Filter, T31 Front Strut Bar, T31 Bonnet Gas Struts, T31 LED Mirror Covers (Colour-Coded), Sunroof Wind Deflector/Sun Visor, Boot Storage Oraganizer (1 Compartment),Rear Bumper Scuff Plate)
Springs will be easy, as i'll just go for the pedders lift again.
Nissan supplied ones are another easy to find list to select from.(same as what I got now, may even keep a few minor things from it yet)
I already have the antenna (spare one), but need to get another UHF. 40+40 uniden (400SX) if I can, from my friends at a local shop, or at least the new 80ch uniden.
New rims, same as current ones (will keep 1 of them as a spare), and get yoko geo 235's put on the car too as a purchase.

Its the things like picking the bullbar now, I want a full bullbar (not the pipe type), but with fog lights. So far I have found the ECB Big Tuba Bar looking average. Mirror polished for the colour/metal choice. Unless someone gives me a good reason to go one of the other colour types.

I know I will leave something out and remember it once I make the order.

Nah it might move as often as my current one does. Once every second weekend at the moment.
Spends more time in my house than I do really, thanks to work.
