I had a Calais before my exy and if I parked in the underground car park at the new Hallet Cove shopping centre my central locking/remote key/unlocking was very unreliable and many times was almost totally unable to unlock the car with the key. Everywhere else was fine. Car Park was under the shops with heaps of computerised checkout terminals and probably was also near a huge mains electricity transformer. Interestingly the XTrail has never had a problem there. If your problem is mainly in only one location and is OK everywhere else then your car is fine - just in a very bad electrical interference zone.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Translucidus)Thu, 12 Jul 2012 16:34:58 +0000 Re: Remote central locking not workinghttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2064266,from=rss#post2064266https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2064266,from=rss#post2064266Sometimes there is radio interference from a transmitter in the area which could stop the radio remote key from being recognised by the computer. Usually you will find that in other areas or at other times in the same area it works.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Thu, 12 Jul 2012 00:30:20 +0000 Re: Remote central locking not workinghttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2064218,from=rss#post2064218https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2064218,from=rss#post2064218just wondering how you went on finding and fixing this problem ? as i have just experienced the same problem ! ant info would be great ! thanks mate , wallynondisclosed_email@example.com (bigmanwal)Tue, 10 Jul 2012 18:33:03 +0000 Remote central locking not workinghttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2059297,from=rss#post2059297https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2059297,from=rss#post2059297Hi All, I had a search through the forum to see if anyone had addressed this issue before but I could not find anything, not to say that there isn't something in here somewhere. I noticed tonight while trying to lock the car using the remote, that nothing seemed to work. I tried to unlock and also push the panic button but all was quiet. I thought that the battery in the key remote could be flat so I got out theother set - same thing - nothing. I started the key a couple of time and also pressed the central locking button on the front door. Also had a look through the handbook, nothing really specific in there. Thought it could be a fuse but i will have to look in the morning. I am not sure whether it is in the fuse box that is inside the vehicle or the one under the bonnet. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Thanks Graem  nondisclosed_email@example.com (aussieambo)Wed, 28 Dec 2011 20:08:22 +0000
