Re: What brand/model is the factory fitted Sat/Nav
Hi Steve,
If your decision to buy the Ti rather than the ST-L is only because of the sat. nav, then I would say buy an ST-L instead, because that wasn't the reason I chose a Ti which has much more other features available.
Anyway, the factory sat. nav in the Eclipse unit made by Fujitsu Ten and this particular model is very popular around the world. Personally, I don't see what the fuss is all about, it is a very restrictive head unit that doesn't allow you to customize it freely and you will end-up paying for sat. nav map updates in the future as well.
Many aftermarket units are just as good and less than half the price, so make sure you do a search within our forum to see what members have chosen (if you do end-up buying the ST-L that is).

Re:
Nope, it is definitely made by Fujitsu and it is assembled in China as far as I know.
As I said, if you do end-up buying the ST-L, you can forget about fitting the Eclipse, as there are many more better options out there and cost much less. (check our forum for a topic called "kitchen sink")

Re:
Not sure what is meant by "watered down" version and what features are missing from the Strathfield unit, but yes, the installation of the aftermarket unit should be straight forward as all the wires are threre already, including the steering controls.
