Re: T31 Factory Spotlight "Rocker Style Switch"

Hi Alan & Phillipa - Jalalski

It's actually an aftermarket part (non genuine) but its definitely the look/type of switch I'm after. The part is for a Nissan Navara D40...but the mounting holes are the same size as the X.

Waiting for it to be shipped from Interstate. I will post the final installation pictures once it arrives...Whoop Whoop emoticon

Regards Andy

I can confirm the switch holes in the D40 Navara and the X-Trail are the same size. I've used the same style switches in both vehicles.

Re: T31 spotlight switch

Hi Andy,
could you please share the outcome of your research with us? Where did you find this switch? I spent most of the day today on the net to find a similar switch for my T31 but no luck...
Regards,
Gunter

Re: T31 spotlight switch

I found a few Nissan switches on international eBay which seem to be the same style as in the X-Trail (like this one here: Search eBay for "Nissan VDC On/Off Switch OEM# 7X038")

Unfortunately none of them have the "lamp" symbol on them.
Also I still have to figure out how to remove one of the blanks from the right hand side switch panel in the dash. Can anyone please give me a little hint? Will I have to take the complete plastic panel off to snap in a new switch?
Regards,
Gunter

Admin Edit: eBay link removed as per forum rules.

Re:

Push hard on the blank from the front and it will pop out the back of the panel.

Re:

I found you have to remove the fuse box lid to access behind the blanks and squeeze together two of the four pins and then push from the front.
