Re: The Push Engine Start Button

There seems to be no ACC selection emoticon
Watch the radio face only light up when he presses the start button and immediately go off when he presses the same button to stop the engine.

Re:

I wonder how it would work if the battery starts going flat, will it keep turning the engine over till it starts or will it only use short bursts like in the video.

There is Kev, in fact all 3 ignition switch settings are still available with this push button

Tony: I don't think it will use short bursts if the battery is going dead, which will encourage you to go and change your battery sooner rather than try and squeeze its guts out until the last second LOL emoticon

Re:

Kev,
If you look in the video, he presses the button 3 times before pressing it a 4th time to start the car.

Re:

That's correct. The number of pushes on the button sets the position.

Re: The Push Engine Start Button

This could be the drink=drive solution the police are looking for emoticon
Just think of it ...
- drunk gets in car and only pushes button once, and radio turns on
- takes remote key away and tries again, only pushes button once, car does not start, radio plays again
- drunk decides too hard and walks home
 emoticon

I won't be surprised if the car ignition start will be linked to a Breathalyzer in the future emoticon

Re: The Push Engine Start Button

My Series IV ST doesn't have proximity key so should it be able to have this mod installed.. Would that be right??

I'm seeing 12,800 yen as the highest figure on the link, and wondering if that's the total price?? That seems too reasonable! emoticon

Now all I need is to find a Japanese friend very fast, or ask if anyone from the forum can tell me how to buy it on that link, and how much it is??

Cheers everyone! emoticon

Re:

Yeah, it will work with any car that doesn't have the intelligent key system installed.

Not sure about the price or what bits need to be ordered, so we need someone who can read Japanese to tell us what to order and how much it costs.
