Mystery tour 2011 :)

Ok guys and gals lets throw some discussion out now about this possible event later this year and lets see where the members like to go , see and or do!

I have gone into withdrawals about not going out and exploring for this event and would like some further feed back from the members.

We still have the comments that we asked for from the last mystery tour and thought it was quite interesting.

So let those ideas roll and let's see where we end up!emoticon

Regards Scot

Sounds good,

Bad dates for me are end of May, End of June, mid Sept - mid Oct (Europe) Other than that, all good unless something comes up

I'm out early June, heading over to Perth for wedding anniversary from 2nd till the 12th.

Mid May is not good either, too many birthdays to attend.

Re:

Focus towards September on I think as it takes around 3 months of setting one of these up!

Hope this helps and Tony would love to take a convoy of Queenslander"s down to Sydney for a play around in your backyard!

You may never , never know as one day it might just happen!emoticon

Re: Mystery tour 2011 :)

Scot (Freewill11),
As Tony (Cooch T31) stated.....come on down to Sydney and us"cockies" locals will be able to meet up with you "toadies" for some fun times

Tony, as a Blue Mountains man you may be familiar with several interesting bush drives that will excite and entertain us all. The fire trails of the Kanangra Boyd area including crossing the Kowmung sounds great and I would love to do it but hesitant going alone ie 1 vehicle.
Camping at Boyd River Crossing could be included.
Of course theres the Glow Worm tunnel area that I have not done but have read about in trip reports....2008 I think.

Anyway quenslanders, if you do head this way it would be great to meet up share experiences.

cheers all

Re:

I actually like the idea of a combined QLD/NSW Event and I reckon it will be a HUGE one if organized early. The official mid-point between Brisbane and Sydney is Macksville, NSW as per the Google search result I have just done on this and it is 497kms from Sydney South (or 6+ hours drive) emoticon

I think it's doable for sure and we can look at organizing a 2-3 day outing with different set of activities to suit all ages and vehicle set-ups emoticon

Not sure if this is best left for summer though.
