Re:

I found the solution for the T31 trailer plug. It needs to be mounted inside the car as Jamie suggested and THIS is the flat wire plug that can be extended from under the tailgate when a trailer is in use. I reckon it is the perfect solution.

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

Jalal,
Looks like an ideal option. Seems to be a wholesaler and an account needs to be opened. There web site doesn't show where they are located...only a phone number.
Are you able to get them through the Xtrail forum as I would purchase one as well if no better solution available.

cheers

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

That is exactly what I was thinking about, should work a treat!

Hey Jalal, I remember a couple of years ago, you were considering selling your XTRAIL number plates. I bet you're glad you never gave them up now, hey?

They look 'made for' the Red Bull.. emoticon

Re:

Dave,

This flat wire socket can be ordered (or found) in any auto stores like Repco or AutoOne, all you need to tell them is the product code which is: BSF7B and it is manufactured by ARK Corporation which does many other trailer accessories. I will look for it at the local Repco store this weekend. I think they even sell it cheaper at $22.95. I just found them on eBay selling for $22.95 plus $8.00 bucks postage.

Jamie: My wife said EXACTLY the same thing emoticon She was actually the one who said, I would never allow you to sell those plates until we cease to have an Exy emoticon

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

Hi Guys,

Done quite a few mods to the Red Bull today and when my wife saw me under the car this morning, she said "You've been missing all this action for a while now, so am glad to see you enjoy doing what you love doing" LOL emoticon

She did say she does NOT want any chrome on the Red Bull though!

First of all, I always wanted to see if I can modify the rear bumper styling place to suit a T31 exy with a towbar and after a few attempts and craftsmanship with the dremel, I managed to fit it and it doesn't look bad:

Sorry Scot, didn't take the rear bumper off to fit this styling plate, instead I drilled straight through the face of it and then used my Mercedes silver touch-up paint and touched-up the screws and they blended-in quite well with the styling plate emoticon

Also fitted the Bonnet Gas Struts

And the Rear Bumper Scuff Plate

And the Spare Tyre Air Hose (from my T30 beast)

Given how hard it is to get to the spare tyre in the T31, I reckon having this air hose to measure the tyre pressure of the spare wheel and pump it up without removing it from its place is a must for every T31. There is a rubber grommet on the floor under the spare tyre (just like the T30) and you can use this to pass the air-hose through like I did. In fact am gonna use this exact grommet to pass through the wiring for the trailer plug, so I can relocate it inside the car.

Errr, what else have I done today?....Oh yep, fitted the LED Mirror Covers and LED Mirror Lenses emoticon

Started fitting the strut bar but ran out of daylight and struck a fitting problem, which I will hopefully resolve tomorrow.

That's about it for the 1st weekend of modifications emoticon

Re:

Have you fitted or will you be fitting the rear bash plate as you will find it clashes big time with the rear style plate!

The spare wheel hose seems like a good idea to me so I am interested in fitting one for myself!

Regards Scot

Re:

I thought about the rear bash plate when I was fitting the style plate and since I have already butchered a big portion of it, I don't think am gonna face major dramas trimming the lower edge of it a bit to allow the rear bash plate to fit.

P.S. More details on the spare air hose kit HERE

Re:

Looking good there Jalal.

I really wanted the Red before I got mine, nearly didn't buy it since I couldn't get it in red. But once I drove one, it was decided in a few seconds.

Red + Black + Chrome will work.
