Re:

Thanks Dave, only a couple of hours to go before I sit in the Red Bull and go for a ride. emoticon

The dealer has already fitted the towbar for me and I took a photo of the harness mounted and it is located in the lower lip which means I have to move it (as we expected). But I have already seen what is behind the bumper when I was at the wreckers and am 99% sure that there isn't any space behind the bumper to locate this plug. I took photos, so I will share them with you guys in another thread. It was at the wreckers that I realized that this is not going to be an easy task at all.

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

yes Jalal..it is as I thought. Certainly different than the T30 series bumper.
Perhaps an unsightly alternative will be to locate plug at side of hitch with cable tie or on top!!!
Connector just needs to be a lot higher to eliminate damage on sand hills or rough bumpy tracks.
Dealers dont seem to be able to suggest an alternative.

Have a great day

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

Hey Jalal,

Why not get it mounted inside the car and then get an extension lead that comes from inside then out to the trailer. This can get stored in one of the fancy storage trays the T31 has when not in use. emoticon

I have seen that with many cars and that way there's no chance of getting knocked off when out and about, no worries about mud/dust/water getting in the plug either. I'm pretty sure the back door will close with the cable hanging out without doing any long term damage.

Enjoy the day mate! emoticon

Re:

I have seen this on many commodore station wagons, the down side is that the extension cable rubs the paint off the car as the cable jiggles in transit.

That's a good idea Jamie.

Something like THIS would probably work.

Re: My NEW Red Bull (I got my wings)

Hmmmmmmmm! I'm sure someone can come up with a solution to that!

The only other place I can think of would be directly above the tow hitch on the bumper.

Good luck today Jalal. I love that you've got your avatar pic updated with your new ride (even before you've taken delivery)

Re:

Yes, that's what I was thinking about.

It's a real shame you couldn't hook something up wirelessly, transmitter in the boot, receiver on the trailer. emoticon

Any sparkies out looking for a project? Kev, you're good at these things........ emoticon

Hi Guys,

After a long 3 months wait for the Red Bull to be manufactured in Japan, I have finally taken delivery of it this morning and what a beautiful day it is (nice and sunny). Just the perfect weather to be receiving a brand new Red car LOL emoticon

Kev came along to help take pics and I also had McGrath Nissan dealer principal, the sale manager/s and Steve (the most helpful sales consultant in the world) as well as the State Manager from Nissan Australia take part in this ceremony, which was awesome emoticon

The Red Bull and the Chrome Beast side by side exchanging looks LOL emoticon

Anyway, I am over the moon with joy to say the least and absolutely in love with the red colour of the exy.

I think it's gonna take a while to sink in, but I have already dropped-by the local 4WD shop and placed an order for the ECB low type nudge bar, so let the mods begin emoticon

P.S. Number plates have not been edited out to show you guys how they look on the Red Bull. While I was signing the papers I reckon the sale guys have recruited 3 couples to be new members of the forum and all of them loved the red colour of the exy LOL emoticon
