Re: **2010 RDS Thunder & Lightning Final**Board of The Year**
Thanks for double-checking Les.
Guys, we are still missing about 4 votes! Which means some members are only posting a message of support in the voting thread without actually submitting a vote, which in turn means that their vote wasn't counted
Can I please ask all those who have voted to go back to the voting thread and check the following as stated by Kev previously:
If you go into the voting thread then you will know if you have already voted as you will see the statistics at the top of the thread.
If you see the selections with the VOTE button, then you have not voted. You will need to select #13 and submit your vote
IMPORTANT: Posting just a message in the voting thread does NOT automatically add a vote, you must go back to Page 1 of the poll to submit your vote for it to be counted!

Re:
Maybe another emailing to the members may clarify how this works and that it is not the regular vote that is required. I get the impression that our regular vote count is higher at the moment than the same time previous months. Possibly several members have miss read your email and made a regular vote without bothering to post in here. Just an idea.

Barney,
Posting here is not as important and not a requirement for voting. However posting in the poll thread on the Runboard Directory board where the competition is taking place is important for first time voters who haven't voted or taken part in the previous board of the year voting competitions. The most important part of this voting for new users (and existing ones) is that the voting button MUST be pressed after selecting our forum from the list for the vote to be counted, otherwise it is a wasted vote which wasn't submitted.
I have asked Rick (from the Runboard Directory) who is organising this voting competition to spell it out a bit more clearer in the voting thread, as chances are our forum is not the only forum missing out on votes. By the looks of the vote count for other boards, many users are not understanding clearly what needs to be done.

Dev,
You have submitted a post in the voting thread HERE supporting our forum, which is the first step needed to be able to vote. The next step is for you to go back to the first page of the voting thread HERE and select #13 from the list at the top of the page and press Vote (see example below)
The vote count after submitting your vote should increase by one vote (it is currently at 52)

Re:
I saw the new email and it should be more clear to the members, I did not have a problem myself as I was involved last year. What I was alluding to was that people may have confused it with the regular voting system, made a vote in there and not posted that they had made a vote due to pressure of work etc, in this case you would not have been alerted to the fact that they had voted in the wrong area. I was not implying any criticism, was busy trying to deal with other issues when I made the earlier post. The new email and the other measures you have implemented within the forum should clear up any remaining confusion. Now we just need some more of the members to follow through and make some valid votes and your forum can be recognised by others for what we know it is, "Australian X-Trail Forum Rocks!"

Re:
Hi Barney,
If by "regular voting system" you're referring to the Top4x4 sites voting, it has nothing to do with it and it is not mentioned anywhere in this thread or my previous emails. I have provided a link in all emails to Runboard voting thread.
In any case, looks like it's working as the voting count has started to move in the right direction
Dev: Your vote is still missing though
