Re: 2011 Brisbane Trip January for RevheadKev

Let us all know when you are free Matt. As I am on holidays then most days would suit me but obviously a weekend would suit most of the other brisbane members.

At this stage the plan is to drive up Monday 17th and be there for a week or so which means Sat/Sun 22/23 Jan would be the weekend to pick. About half-way through the following week we will be at my mother's place at Evans Head but if there is a day trip somewhere between there and Brisbane then I would be up for it too. I expect heading back to Sydney probably Friday 28th to avoid the usual school holiday traffic.

Hey Kev at present just about anywhere you pitch a tent up here you will have water views for sure emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon .

It's raining up here again and now we have Gympie,Kilcoy(out near LCMP) and a few other towns being affected by flood water since yesterday morning!

Pack a rain coat and gum boats for your trip this time! emoticon

Will see what happens over the course of the days until you arrive!

Regards Scot

Hey Kev,

Instead of fitting a snorkel, here is a mod you should be considering for your upcoming trip to Brisbane emoticon

Re: 2011 Brisbane Trip January for RevheadKev **Postponed**

Well, the trip has been postponed until school holidays, either between terms 1 & 2 or 2 & 3.
We thought that with floodwaters cutting the highway near Grafton with more rain expected in the area and the infrastructure damage to water and sewer, along with increased difficulty of just "getting around" because of the cleanup in Brisbane that the short trip would be better done later so that we won't be caught in the sightseeing crowd.
Family is OK up there so no urgency to go except for meeting with you guys but that can keep until later, though I am sure you are all anxious to compare mine and Dave's snorkel installs emoticon

Re: 2011 Brisbane Trip January for RevheadKev

OK trip is on but a real "flying" visit.
Staying at mum's place at Evans Head and probably only a couple of days in Brisbane. All up only a week away around 10th Apr -> 16th Apr.

Probably not the best time through the week to do a trip but if anyone is keen, let me know, otherwise I will try to catchup with some of you personally at your places.

Calling Lismore/Ballina area members ... would like to know of the best places to do a trip while in the area for the few days.

Re:

Hi Kev,

Ive been working in Grafton latley and south of Woodburn and on the west side of the highway look to be some promising tracks in Doubleduke SF and west of Lismore is a place called Bungabee. There is also the beaches.

I wouldnt have time for a drive as we are busy with work/kid commitments atm but could meet up one arvo esp later in the week. I saw John (Wanderer) last week and he is recovering from his op at home now.
