Fixed price Capping for servicing
As of the 1st December 2010 Nissan Australia will be capping the cost of servicing for all new vehicles + cars up to 6years old or up to 120,00 which ever comes first.
The extras will remain the same as in wiper blade refills and Tyre rotation and balance but all in all I think this will be a step forward for all who get there cars serviced at a dealership!
How I got this info is from the service department at Highway Nissan at Springwood!
Regards Scot

Re:
Don,
Please discuss services costs in the existing thread in the appropriate section of the forum. Let's leave this thread on the topic of capped service costs which am currently verifying.
There is an article about this HERE and I have also posted the question on the myNissan website seeking further details.

Re:
No response as yet from myNissan, I guess they're still finalizing the details of this offer.
I experienced the Toyota Advantage capped service cost when we had the Corolla and it would only cost $120.00 per service until 60,000kms which was awesome for sure.

Re: Fixed price Capping for servicing
OK Scot,
I got contacted by Nissan Australia today and they have now detailed this capped service on the Nissan Australia website HERE
So much for a so called capped service that doesn't have a capped price. It looks to me like a publicity stunt and nothing more as they're still saying that the price will vary between one dealer and another, so I reckon this whole thing has been done by Nissan without any agreement from the dealers and they can't seem to be able to control them.
They should have published a capped service cost schedule depending on the type of Nissan it is, as obviously servicing a diesel is more expensive that petrol, but even that simple price list is not available.

Re: Fixed price Capping for servicing
Hi Guys,
Nissan Australia will be publishing the capped service price list for each Nissan model on their website by end of next as a response to the question I raised to them.
According to them, dealers will have the ability to charge LESS than the capped price, but not more! So, let's see how this is gonna work and if the dealers will stick to this pricing schedule.
